Centre asks Google to stop showing betting ads from overseas platforms: Report

The Centre has asked Google to stop displaying surrogate ads of overseas betting companies, as per a report. In a letter sent to Google India, Centre reportedly asked the company to drop all advertising, direct or surrogate, from betting platforms like Fairplay, Parimatch and Betway in search results and YouTube. Centre issued a similar advisory for OTT platforms in October. #news101
