Varsha Gaikwad appointed as Mumbai Congress President

Four-term MLA from Mumbai's Dharavi constituency, Varsha Gaikwad, was on Friday appointed as new Mumbai Congress President. Gaikwad, who will be replacing MLC Bhai Jagtap, is the first woman president of the party's Mumbai unit. She served as the Minister of School Education Department during the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government headed by Uddhav Thackeray from 2019 to 2022.
