1,000 Guj villages without power as poles get uprooted due to Biparjoy

Several electric poles got uprooted at various places in Gujarat due to cyclone Biparjoy, snapping the power supply to over 1,000 villages. Nearly 40% of power disruptions were in the Kutch district, officials said. NDRF Director General (DG) Atul Karwal said no lives were lost but 23 people were injured after Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall in Gujarat.
